Georgia May Foote has hit out at claims she's dating Chris Hughes, after the Love Island hunk gave a gushing interview about their relationship.In a new interview with The Sun, reality TV star Chris, 27, is quoted as saying that he and the 'absolutely stunning' Coronation Street star have travelled to opposite ends of the country to meet each other's parents as their purported romance blossoms.But in a bizarre twist, Chris himself followed 27-year-old Georgia's denial on Monday afternoon, taking to Twitter to claim that he had been misquoted in the interview, which was published earlier that morning and quickly circulated online.Reacting to a headline, which read in part that he had 'FINALLY' confirmed the identity of his new girlfriend, Chris ranted: 'Woah this isn't true. Been twisted to s**. 'I actually said in that press that I'm not dating her and that I'm very much single, hence why I choose to talk about that and clarify it. Boarder line, not okay.' [sic]His denial came more than hour after Georgia's tweeted statement, which read: 'I am not dating anyone. At all. No one has "met my parents" and I am well and truly single.'So please stop with the stories. I didn't chose or want to be in the position I am in so I'm not going to look for something else. Please leave me be.'In an effort to prove that she had not misquoted Chris, The Sun's Sarah Packer responded on Twitter: 'Hey Georgia, the story and quotes come from an interview I did with Chris last week. It it’s false then he’s told me inaccurate information.' In the interview, Chris was quoted as saying of Georgia: 'She is an absolutely stunning girl – she is a beautiful girl inside and out. We actually have a lot in common as well so it has been nice to have that resemblance with someone else.'I’ve been up north to see her and she’s been down south to see me. She met my mum and dad – you can’t avoid mum and dad.'I’m a big Corrie fan – my mum and I still watch the omnibus together. I don’t miss an episode of Coronation Street not even now so yeah it's a bit of a dream come true seeing her.'Further muddying the waters, OK! has published a new interview with Chris, in which he confirms that he's 'getting to know' Made In Chelsea's Emily Blackwell, 21.He told the publication: ‘We’re getting to know each other. She’s a really nice girl and she’s been to my family farm. I took her down to see the cows. We’ll see how it goes. I’m very much an open book at the moment.
